All of my paintings from college. They are all oil on canvas, and a number of them have felt and textile elements sewn onto the canvas.

A large deer skull dominates the canvas, its antlers are shedding its velvet (painted felt here). Behind the skull is rainbow oil slick, with 13 different skulls hidden among the swirls and drippy shapes.

Omen for Oil

A green figure is shearing a Jacob's sheep. The sheep has three blue horns, a blue face, and skin under its rainbow patchwork of "wool." The sheep's wool is made of various textiles. The background, midground, and foreground are covered in discarded textiles, trying to show just how much waste fast fashion produces.

Mend and Make

A subway station is flooded, water covers the tracks and the platform. Water is leaking from the tiled wall and from pipes in the ceiling. Passengers wait on the platform, standing in deep water. More passengers are in the subway car, one stands on the seats trying to avoid some of the water. Rats swim to the stairs, trying to escape the flood. The sign for the station reads "Exit 4, Timaeus & Critias." One of the passengers on the platform holds an umbrella made out of a t shirt scrap stained with ink from the painting.
